Why Project Oasis?

 

We selected the name Project Oasis because of what we believe God is wanting to do through 12 Springs Community Church.

 

Exodus 15:27 says, “the Israelites traveled on to the oasis of Elim, where they found twelve springs and seventy palm trees. They camped there beside the water.”

 

God provided a much needed “oasis” for His people on their journey. The next verse says that then the “whole community” journeyed from the oasis toward their promise. The people found the rest and nourishment they needed, came together as a community, and then began to move forward toward the promise God had for them.

 

That’s the kind of place I believe we can, and should, be at 12 Springs Community Church. A place where people can come, find Jesus, life, purpose, meaning, get their lives together and move forward.

 

PROJECT OASIS is the campaign to build that “oasis.”

 

Project Oasis focuses of 4 areas

 

1. PRAYER

Prayer is the building material of every significant move of God.

 

2. PEOPLE

In God’s Kingdom, people are THE priority.

 

3. PLACE

The church is the people, yes, but the people need a place to gather, come, share, experience, be equipped, contribute, invite, find help, find hope, find healing.

 

4. PARTNERSHIP

Working together through financial gifts and acts of service.

 

Our financial goal is to raise $200,000 in 3 years.

 

With these finances We will be able to help offset some of the initial costs to acquire the facility, the complete minor repairs and upgrades needed, as well the raise the capital needed to carry us forward in paying off the building entirely.

 

If we can have 50 people commit to contributing just $111 per month for the next 3 years, we will reach our goal!

 

Some of you may be able to contribute more. Some of you may like to make a one-time donation. There is no contribution too small and all are appreciated. Whatever the size of the gift, consider it an investment into the future of what God wants to do through this ministry and facility.
